The "Big Game" is on, and instead of drinking beer, I'm brewing beer. I missed the kickoff, but it's still the first quarter. I can't say I will miss sitting in front of the TV to watch a scheduled event. I haven't sat in front of the TV waiting for a show to start since last year's "Big Game" Sunday, when I watched The Office. Well, except this year's premiere of Lost.
Right now, my Red Ale is getting ready to boil. It is finished steeping, and the fire is on. It has to boil for an hour, and then gets to ferment for two weeks. After that, it has to settle for another week or two.
When I get done cooking the Red Ale, I have five galoons of Brown Ale to bottle. I'm getting bottles ready, washing, rinsing and disinfecting. I figure that I'll be at this for a couple of hours at least. I'll be back later.
